Left stripped
Forbidden yesterdays little importance
keeps my only love alive.
A passing yonder awakes
leaving the burden to survive.
Weightless torment flowing through my veins
blinding bright lights is all that remains.
Footsteps draw nearer with each walking pace
adrenalin pumped uncovering my dark hooded face.
The world is moving beneath my feet
but I feel still with each heartless beat.
Departed from my bodily being
since then- It's all I've known
re-united with the impossible
to leave my soul all alone.
Exhaustion creeping forward
I'm sailing an endless sea
but willing to accept
a different forgotten me.
Upon an infinite second -
hearing a hurry within my breath
an ecstasy of parting
denominated by -
death.
aine, this here is a magnificent piece! My god.. in each line i can feel the heaviness and ffrustration in your heart.. it describes a world without michael perfectly..
ReplyDelete"leaving the burden to survive"- this line is so sad.. i can interpret this line so many ways.. love this line..
"The world is moving beneath my feet
but I feel still with each heartless beat"
i love these lines; as literal as they are, they are still deep in meanings.. like.. the world seems to be moving on but you can't seem to catch up.. and your heart is beating for the sake of beating, because the true purpose.. love.. seems to have gone along with michael.. is that what you're trying to portray?
i love this work, aine, am going to read it a few more times.. cuz there is so much going on there that i need to read it more, to find out.. You're a genius. ;)
that last stanza makes my heart ache.. when we think of michael, the emotions come out with force.. wow.
great job!
